Re: White Box covers most of Screen

I suppose you're used to install pkgs, not ports. Before going into how to build/install the port another minor thing popped up. It appears the mythtv-port was marked 'broken' in the repository just 4 days ago. If you updated your portstree since then you need to edit the Makefile and comment out th...

Re: White Box covers most of Screen

If you're at the top of the port, the file is work/mythtv-30.0/mythtv/libs/libmythui/mythuiwebbrowser.cpp You may use the diff below before rebuilding (the diff pointed to from the original changeset does not apply cleanly to the code). --- work/mythtv-30.0/mythtv/libs/libmythui/mythuiwebbrowser.cpp...

Re: White Box covers most of Screen

The problem here is that MythTV in FreeBSD currently has no maintainer, so no updates of the package. This is clearly not the fault of the myth-developers as the bug was fixed long ago in the sourcecode. There's a simple fix though. Just download the current myth port, apply the changes from https:/...

Re: Backend server segfaults when accessing DVBCard

A new development - I now have a working mythtv config :D Before going into detail let me explain my setup a bit more thoroughly. My first tvcard is a dual-tuner card from Digital Devices (recognized as adapter0/1), and then 2 Terratec's (adapter2/3). I use the dvbloopback module with ffdecsawrapper...

Re: Backend server segfaults when accessing DVBCard

Tried to delete and recreate the card but I get the same result as before. I wasn't sure if you meant to run mythtv-setup or the backend with the given logging option so I did both. Below is output from setup, a full log from mythbackend is at https://pastebin.com/AEvG4zMX teapot% mythtv-setup -v ch...

Re: Backend server segfaults when accessing DVBCard

Thanks for looking into this. Your advice didn't bring me any further though. Before going into that, let me give a couple of general comments The DVBCard in question has been used without problems in mythtv for at least 6 years (at least since v.27) Upgrading to v31 isn't an option as my main works...

Backend server segfaults when accessing DVBCard [Solved]

I have a system with mythtv-v30.0-76a78d844cf on Ubuntu-18.04. For a long time I ran this server with 4 physical tuners. Then some time ago I deleted all but 1 adapter from the mythtv config and have been using a single tuner for a few months. Yesterday I decided to add back the other tuners, starti...

Re: No episode information from eit

Thanks. I'm no programmer, but I'll look into it and see if I can come up with something.

No episode information from eit

I switched recently from using an xmltv grabber to eit scanning for program data. It works well, except mythtv doesn't recognize episode information for series. My cable tv provider is norwegian 'CanalDigital'. Looking at the program data, I see series information is encoded at the start of the subt...
